Our Chinese Debating Society has concluded a successful campaign in Division B of the Hong Kong Debating Premier League 2025–2026, finishing as 2nd Runner-up after an intense, season-long league tournament.

Unlike short cup competitions, the Premier League tested our resilience and adaptability over many months. Facing off against various schools across Hong Kong, our team members,  Kathy Chu, Koyuki Shirane, Vienna Ng, Christy Leong, Chloe Szeto, Kate Choi, Vivien Doo, Jasmine Ngan and Sofia Ou-yang, were tasked with defending both Affirmative and Negative stances on a broad spectrum of current affairs. From deep-dive data collection and rapid case construction to high-pressure rebuttals on stage, every match challenged us to think critically and stay composed.

Beyond the podium finish, the true highlight of the season was our team's strong spirit of mentorship. Spanning Form 2 to Form 6, our squad brought together debaters with varying levels of experience. Senior members stepped up to guide their junior teammates through research sessions, argument structuring, and stage delivery. This hands-on collaboration not only elevated our performance in the podium standings but also carried forward our Society’s cherished tradition of passing down knowledge from one generation to the next.
